LK Group Collaborates with Cyborg and Three Other Strategic Partners to Jointly Develop Magnesium Alloy Humanoid Robots
On July 27, at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC 2025), a global technology event, LK Group joined hands with Shenzhen Cyborg Robot Co., Ltd., Shenyang Research Institute of Foundry (a subsidiary of China Academy of Machinery Science & Technology Group), Fujian Magnesium Casting Lightweight R&D Center Co., Ltd., and Suzhou Surfex New Material Technology Co., Ltd. to sign a strategic cooperation agreement. This officially launched the joint research and development project for magnesium alloy humanoid robots, marking the dawn of a new era in lightweight manufacturing for humanoid robotics.
The five parties will fully leverage their respective technical expertise to pursue integrated innovation in "Materials-Structure-Process." The project aims to break through the traditional trade-offs between robot weight and strength, achieving a dual revolution in structural lightweighting and manufacturing efficiency. A "Joint R&D Center for Humanoid Robot Body Components" will be established, focusing on overcoming core technological challenges such as magnesium alloy shell casting, process optimization, and lightweight structural design. Leveraging its leading expertise in magnesium alloy casting, LK Technology will provide advanced casting equipment and process solutions for the project, facilitating breakthroughs in robotic structural lightweighting.
Mr. Ren Yipeng of LK Group stated at the signing ceremony: "The integration of artificial intelligence and high-end manufacturing represents an inevitable trend in future industrial development. We are profoundly honored to collaborate with top-tier partners across various sectors. This cooperation marks a significant strategic advancement for LK Technology in the humanoid robotics domain and yet another milestone in our commitment to innovation-driven development. We will fully leverage our extensive expertise in high-performance lightweight structural components and our industrial chain advantages to deliver comprehensive technical support and equipment solutions for the development of magnesium alloy humanoid robots."
Mr. Dong Dianbiao, Co-founder and CEO of Cyborg, emphasized that this partnership transcends mere resource consolidation, constituting a deep restructuring based on industrial chain complementarity. He stated that through innovative processes for new materials like magnesium alloys and the application of structural lightweighting technologies, the collaboration will drive a revolutionary upgrade in heavy-duty robot structural design. By achieving deep integration between high-performance die casting equipment and flexible robotic production solutions, the alliance aims to redefine efficiency benchmarks in high-end manufacturing.
