Magnesium alloy has density of 1.8 kg/cm3.

By comparing with Aluminum's density of 2.8 kg/cm3 and Zinc's density of 6.8 kg/cm3, Magnesium alloy is ideal for producing light-weight products including thick wall automotive products or thin wall 3C products. However, molten Magnesium will catch fire easily and special precaution has to be taken to avoid uncontrolled oxidation.

For producing high requirement parts with minimum porosity

Porosity is a critical issue for die-casting.  Reduction of porosity is the first priority to die-caster.  For parts requiring post heat treatment such as structural parts of vehicles and some safety parts, minimum porosity is required while the casting shape is complex and has thin wall thickness.  Vacuum die-casting can help to achieve minimum porosity by applying high vacuum.
